
Giles Dunn
Chairman and Managing Director
Giles has over 20 years of experience in project delivery, strategic planning, finance, and capital raising. Prior to establishing Dunn Advisory Partners Giles worked as SVP Strategy at Aleon Metals where he led the research, engineering, metal sales and feedstock acquisition teams for EV batteries and poly metallic material containing Vanadium and Molybdenum. As SVP at Tellurian – he supported development and financing of the $14.5 billion Driftwood LNG project, and as Chief of Staff to Executive Chairman assisted the Board in formulating capital strategy.
At Bank of America, he was a Managing Director in the investment banking team, where he successfully executed over $100 billion of transformational transactions from M&A to capital markets in the energy and resource sectors.
Giles previously worked at Standard Chartered Bank, Poten & Partners and Shell. He holds a Master of Engineering (Honors) in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London.
Giles is currently Chairman of the City of Bellaire’s Environmental Sustainability Board.

John Metric
Managing Director
John is a seasoned metals industry executive with more than 35 years of global experience spanning operations, technology, and capital projects. He has led the construction, startup, and optimization of metallurgical facilities with a combined value exceeding $750 million, delivering results in complex pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical environments.
John’s career includes senior leadership roles at Aleon Metals, Eramet, and Gulf Chemical & Metallurgical, as well as founding Metric Venture Partners, where he advised leading industrial firms on process improvements, capital projects, and business strategy. His expertise covers black mass and battery recycling, spent catalyst recovery, steelmaking, ferroalloy production, and advanced furnace technologies, including high-energy DC plasma and large-scale AC systems.
A proven dealmaker and innovator, John has negotiated joint ventures and acquisitions from $100K to $500 million, developed breakthrough process technologies, and implemented world-class safety, environmental, and quality systems (ISO 9000/14000, Six Sigma, LEAN). He holds a B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA in International Business from the University of Texas, with advanced technical training in Sweden and South Africa.
